The Read group is strongly committed to advancing the inclusion of historically underrepresented groups in chemistry. A core philosophy of ours is to present chemistry in an accessible, not formidable, way to all students. We believe this is an important aspect of successfully teaching and mentoring a diverse group of future leaders in the field of chemistry. We commit to educating ourselves about our unconscious biases so that we may become better allies.
